Campus Recreation Staff Recruitment

Tuesday, April 9, 2019 and Wednesday, April 10, 2019

Come and check out what jobs Campus Recreation has to offer! We are having four, one hour sessions you can register to attend. Each session includes a brief presentation about our department, available jobs, expectations and how to apply. Each session will include filling out applications and a brief group interview for those who choose to apply for a job.

Required for each session: 

  • Bring your resume and spring semester class schedule. Anyone who does not have a resume and class schedule will not be able to participate in the group interviews for that session.
  • You must be on time and be available for the entire hour in order to participate in the session.
  • Register for one of the staff recruitment sessions on Handshake:

» Tuesday, April 9, 12:00 p.m.–1:00 p.m.

» Tuesday, April 9, 1:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m.

» Wednesday, April 10, 6:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.

» Wednesday, April 10, 7:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.

Student Employment

Students are encouraged to become involved in Campus Recreation as employees in a variety of challenging positions.

How to apply for or a student campus recreation position:

  • Call or check with the Recreation office for the date, time and location of the next staff recruitment meeting.
  • Attend a staff recruitment meeting—bring your resume and class schedule.
  • student-employment-funThe staff recruitment meeting will consist of an overview of the department, jobs available and expectations with an opportunity for Q&A. After this, those in attendance will be given a staff information sheet to fill out while short group interviews are conducted for those interested in applying. Qualified candidates will be called for individual interviews (usually) within a week of the recruitment meeting.

Graduate Assistantships

Graduate Assistants are part of the professional staff of Campus Recreation. Responsibilities include supervising recreation facilities and staff, planning, promoting and implementing activities and events, as well as assisting in general departmental operations, program development and new initiatives. Compensation includes tuition remission and a monetary stipend for the fall and spring semesters.
