Graduate Assistant Positions

Graduate assistants are an integral part of our campus recreation.

The Adelphi Campus Recreation Department has three graduate assistants. The graduate assistants are considered “para-professional” staff and are expected to work and act as professionals in a college setting. The graduate assistants work together as a team and are given opportunities for professional development on the job, in weekly staff meetings and are encouraged to attend local, regional and national professional meetings and conferences.

Responsibilities of all positions include program/area specific duties as well as shared responsibility for supervision of the recreation facilities and student personnel on weekends and some evenings. Graduate assistants have a varied work schedule including some day, evening and weekend hours.
